Lincoln Laboratory procures a variety of goods and services: research and/or development subcontracts; computer, laboratory, and optical equipment; antennas and RF devices; furnishings and construction materials; software licenses and subscriptions; fabrication services; and more.

Solicitation Methods for Proposals and bids

Our subcontracts administrators seek out and identify vendors to do business with. Our subcontracts administrators use the following solicitation platforms.

Formal RFP via Secure File Transfer

Lincoln Laboratory uses Secure File Transfer to send out requests for proposals (RFPs) and to receive related vendor proposal responses. If a subcontracts administrator has asked your business to submit a proposal, see the Formal Proposal Submittal Guide for more information.

Reverse Auctions in Unison (formerly FedBid)

Lincoln Laboratory uses the Unison electronic platform to exercise reverse auctions for procurement values below the simplified acquisition threshold (< $250k). If a subcontracts administrator has asked your business to submit a bid, see Unison’s Seller Resources page for more information.

Reverse Auctions in Jaggaer

Lincoln Laboratory may use the Jaggaer electronic platform to conduct reverse auctions for targeted groups of suppliers. If a subcontracts administrator has asked your business to submit a bid, see the Reverse Auction Guide for more information.

Email Informal Proposal or Quote

A subcontracts administrator may also request a proposal or quote informally via email.  Please see the specific request for instructions.
